My Oh My How the Blogging Times Have Changed

This work, is a derivative of "Typing" by Sebastien Wiertz, used under CC BY.

Today I wanted to take some time and chat about blogging, and just a few things that I have noticed change since I originally started blogging back in 2007.
When I started blogging sites like Who, What, Wear and Bryan Boy were really just starting up. There was really no social media and what was there didn't have as big of an impact as it does today. There wasn't any YouTube "Celebrities" and Shay Carl couldn't have imaged selling a YouTube network for over $500,000. It was easier to get noticed for your work, you still had to put your time in and pay your dues but there wasn't as much white noise out in the inter webs.
As I try to get back into the blogging world I have found this new era (if we can call it this) a little bit tougher then before. I often sit back and question if I should be more active on social media but when I pull up Twitter I have writers block. Who knew it would be so hard to come up with 140 characters to sum up how your day is going! Or as sit watching my YouTube subscription feed for two hours if I should integrate video into my blog.
I sit and look at my desk calendar trying to plan out post whilst I have full time job, a fiancé that would like to plan a wedding with, along with family and friends. However I know some of you out there are going through the same things and still some how make it work. If those people are reading this please give me some tips to stay relevant please.
I wanted to get back into blogging because I enjoy it! I have anyways enjoyed writing and being able to talk about what I like and enjoy in life. When the pressures of work seem to be to much this is my tiny escape. Or even when I feel like I just want to share something interesting with someone somewhere in the world. A lot has changed in the world of blogging and vlogging as well I suppose. So how do we stay relevant and up to date in the world of blogging? Are we just suppose to go with the flow and change as the world changes? Should we embraced the new ideals of 2014 and just go with it and see where it can take us?
All of this seems so daunting yet exciting for a girl who started a blog for a high school computer project back in 2007.
Please let me know how you keep up with the ever changing internet.
Leave comments with any tip or tricks.
Do you think bloggers (including me) should occasionally break away from the keyboards and turn on the video cameras?
